Cristiano Ronaldo will not play for Al Nassr in tonight’s Saudi Pro League match against Al Riyadh. The Portuguese star is not injured but has chosen not to participate.

Sources indicate his absence is a form of protest. Ronaldo is reportedly frustrated with the club’s current direction, citing stalled decisions and negotiations linked to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).

Specific concerns include the influence and major transfer spending of rivals Al Hilal, as well as unmet promises regarding staff he recommended to the club. Attempts to find a solution have been unsuccessful.

Al Nassr manager Jorge Jesus confirms that, from a tactical perspective, Ronaldo remains part of the squad. However, the player’s absence is described as a personal stance on administrative issues, not a coaching decision.
