The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Samuel Uwikunda from Rwanda as the referee for the crucial 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Ghana and Angola.

The match is scheduled for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Thursday, September 5, 2024, with kickoff at 4:00 PM.

Uwikunda, a seasoned official, brings with him a wealth of experience having handled high-profile matches in the CAF Champions League, CAF Confederation Cup, CHAN, and the Africa Cup of Nations.

He will be assisted by compatriots Dieudonne Mutuyimana and Eric Mugabo as first and second assistant referees, respectively. Ruzindana Nsoro will serve as the fourth official.

The Match Commissioner is Sanusi Mohammed from Nigeria, while Elsayed Morad Attaalla from Egypt will be the Referee Assessor.

All eyes will be on the Rwandan referee as he takes charge of this crucial encounter between the Black Stars and the Palancas Negras in Kumasi.
