National Paralympic Committee(NPC) President of Ghana Mr Samson Deen,has been re-elected as President of the African Paralympic Committee (AfPC) for another term.
This comes after amassing 38 out of 40 votes at the elective congress in Accra.

In his acceptance speech, thanked the delegates for giving him another mandate to continue the good work towards improving Para sports on the African Continent.

“The confidence that you gave us let us hold it together so that North, East, Central, and Southern Africa can also benefit from the good works we have done to host their respective regional Para Games,” he said.
Mr. Deen told the new executives that they should work hard to attain the needed results.
He said, “One of the difficult things about working with me is that I work to get results. If you are not delivering results, it becomes difficult to work with me.”

The re-elected President applauded the delegates and partners for their words of encouragement and underscored the need for a united front, hard work and dedication to improve advance Para Sports in Africa.

The congress also included the election of representatives to the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) governing body, marking another important step towards strengthening Africa’s presence in global Paralympic sports administration.
