Former Black Meteors striker, Samuel Obeng has completed a move to Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club in the just ended winter transfer window.

The Spanish-born with Ghanaian heritage makes the switch from Portuguese side Casa Pia, bringing his experience and goal-scoring prowess to the North African club.

Obeng, 27, is set to play a key role under the guidance of South African coach Rulani Mokoena. This marks his first time playing for an African club, despite spending the majority of his career in Spain.

The talented striker has had an extensive career in Spain, featuring for clubs such as Getafe, Girona, Real Oviedo, Granollers, and Calahorra before his move to Portugal.

With this latest challenge at Wydad AC, Samuel Obeng will be hoping for a chance in the Black Stars if he performs in the CAF Champions League with the Moroccan club.
