The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has formally appeared before the Disciplinary Jury of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The hearing, which took place on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, is part of a procedure initiated following the final match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco. The case was opened after match officials’ reports and formal complaints were submitted by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation at the conclusion of the AFCON final.
Representing the FSF at the hearing was its Secretary General, who was assisted by legal counsel Maître Seydou Diagne.
The national team’s coach, Pape Bouna Thiaw, along with players Ismaïla Sarr and Ilman Ndiaye, were also present. They were duly heard by the panel and were able to present their statements in defense.
After considering the submissions, the CAF Disciplinary Jury has entered into deliberations. A final decision is expected to be communicated within forty-eight (48) hours, as set by the Jury’s President.

The FSF states it will await the jury’s ruling and will inform the national and international public accordingly.
