Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister for Sports, will lead Ghana’s delegation to the 2026 Association of International Sports Press (AIPS) Africa Congress in Banjul, The Gambia.
Minister Adams is slated to deliver a keynote address on the topic “The Role of Government in African Sports Development.” The conference will be chaired by His Excellency Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia.
He will be joined by a distinguished panel of regional sports leaders, including:
Mr. Bakary Y. Bajide, Minister for Youth and Sports, The Gambia.
Hon. Shehu Dikko, National Sports Commissioner, Nigeria
Hon. Abdoul Kassim Ibrahim Fomba, Minister for Youth and Sports, Mali
Hon. Khady Gaye, Minister for Youth and Sports, Senegal
Also attending the congress will be Mr. Charles Osei Asibey, Secretary General of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG).
