Transfer Gossip: Asante Kotoko Part Ways with Samuel Tenadu on Medical Grounds

Asante Kotoko SC are set to officially part ways with left-back Samuel Tenadu following prolonged medical concerns that have kept the defender sidelined for months.

The decision comes despite Tenadu signing a three-year contract with the Porcupine Warriors after joining from Legon Cities last season. However, persistent injury problems have significantly limited his involvement, preventing him from making a meaningful impact at the club.

Sources close to the club indicate that extensive medical assessments have informed the decision, with both parties agreeing that continuing the relationship would not be in the best interest of the player or the club. An official announcement is expected in the coming days.

Tenadu’s time at Kotoko proved difficult, as he struggled to stay fit and only featured sparingly whenever he returned from injury layoffs. The performances of Patrick Asiedu at left back has been solid for Kotoko which could be the reason for the termination of Tenedu’s contract.

Asante Kotoko are expected to prioritize reinforcing their defensive options as they push for consistency in the Ghana Premier League, while Samuel Tenadu will now focus on recovery and the next chapter of his career.

The club is yet to confirm details regarding the terms of the separation, but it marks an unfortunate end to what was meant to be a long-term partnership.
