Vision FC, Asante Kotoko Share the Spoils in Tema Stalemate

Vision FC and Asante Kotoko played out a goalless draw in their outstanding Ghana Premier League fixture at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema on Wednesday.

The encounter was evenly balanced, with both sides showing attacking intent but lacking the finishing touch to claim all three points.

Kotoko enjoyed long spells of possession yet found it difficult to break down Vision FC’s compact and disciplined defense. The hosts, meanwhile, looked threatening on the counterattack but could not make their few chances count.

In the end, neither side could find the breakthrough as the game finished 0-0, a result that carries mixed implications for both teams.

For Asante Kotoko, the draw takes their points tally to 15 from 7 matches, moving them up to 7th position on the table. The Porcupine Warriors still have two outstanding fixtures to play—a home tie against Young Apostles on November 19 and an away trip to Basake Holy Stars on November 26, giving them an opportunity to climb even higher.

Vision FC, on the other hand, move to 12 points from nine games, maintaining 10th place in the standings. The Tema-based side will see the result as another positive step in their second season in the top-flight, showing they can compete with the league’s established clubs while seeking more consistency in front of goal.

Both teams will now turn their attention to their next fixtures, aiming to turn solid performances into victories as the season progresses.
