Vision FC Edge Bechem United in Five-Goal Thriller
Vision FC secured a historic 3-2 victory over Bechem United in a pulsating Ghana Premier League encounter at the Nii Adjei Okraku II Sports Complex in Tema New Town, claiming their first-ever win against the Hunters.
The home side, affectionately known as Eewo Kɛkɛ, showed resilience and character to overturn setbacks in a match filled with drama and momentum swings.
Bechem United drew first blood in the 23rd minute when their talisman, Augustine Okrah, found the back of the net to hand the visitors the lead.
However, their advantage was short-lived. Just two minutes later, Mohammed Sam-An restored parity for Vision FC with a timely equaliser that sparked life into the home crowd.
Buoyed by the leveller, Vision FC pushed forward and were rewarded before the halftime whistle when Meshack Adjetey struck to give the hosts a 2-1 lead heading into the break.
The second half delivered even more excitement. Fifteen minutes after recess, Okrah once again proved decisive for Bechem United, completing his brace to level matters at 2-2 and set up a tense finale.
But Vision FC were not to be denied. Just three minutes after conceding, Ibrahim Larbi netted what proved to be the match winning goal, sealing all three points for the Tema-based side in a thrilling contest.
The victory not only marks Vision FC’s first triumph over Bechem United, but also sees them leapfrog their opponents into 9th place on the league table, moving four points clear of the relegation zone.
A massive result for Eewo Kɛkɛ as they continue their push for stability in their second season in the top-flight.
