Vision FC’s perfect start to the Division One Super Cup has come to an end after a 1-0 defeat to Techiman Heroes in their final group stage match.
Despite having already secured their place in the semifinals, the Ewoo Kɛkɛ lads were unable to maintain their winning momentum.
A solitary goal conceded in the 56th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides.
Coach Nana Kweku Agyemang had opted to rest some key players for the match, but the changes failed to yield the desired result.
Nana Kweku Agyemang, despite the defeat was took some positives from the game.
“There’re many positives that we can take from the game. We started the young talents in the squad to test their abilities and assess them, which is something we did”.
On the day, Nana Agyemang felt “the wing play wasn’t very effective” and hopes that “things will get better ” in the next game.
The defeat means Vision FC finish second in Group B on 6 points and a point behind Techiman Heroes.
The team will now turn their attention to the semifinals, where they will face Group A winners, Young Apostles while Techiman Heroes will take on Group A runners-up, Okwawu United in the other semi final tie.
The both matches are slated for Friday, August 10.
