Asante Kotoko delivered a ruthless performance at the Baba Yara Stadium on matchday 16 of the Ghana Premier League, dismantling Bechem United 6-0 in what was with out a doubt their most dominant display of the season.
The Porcupine Warriors were in full control from the blast of the whistle, scoring three goals in each half to cap a perfect afternoon in Kumasi. The emphatic victory sees Kotoko climb to the top of the GPL table with 30 points, level with Medeama SC but ahead on the head to head rule.

Bechem United assistant coach Mallam Yahaya did not mince words in his post-match assessment, admitting it was a day to forget for his side.
“It was a bad day for us (Bechem United), especially for the defenders,” Yahaya said.
He acknowledged Kotoko’s tactical discipline and efficiency, noting how the home side exploited spaces left behind as Bechem pushed forward.
“You could see Kotoko were playing on the counter break. They utilized their chances and they punished us,” he added.
The result underlines Kotoko’s growing confidence and attacking sharpness as the title race intensifies, while Bechem United will be left to regroup quickly after a sobering afternoon in Kumasi.
