The 2024 All Star Festival is about to take center stage in Ghana’s vibrant Northern Regional capital, Tamale. To kick things off, the Business Africa Consulting Group (BAC Group) is launching a unique initiative – a 16-Community Football Gala.
This exciting event aims to unite the city, unearth local talent, and build anticipation for the arrival of international football icons in June.
The 16 selected communities participating in the football gala are: Banvum, Moshie Zongo, Poloya Fong/Aboabo, Sagnerigu, Kukuo, Nyohini, Zogbeli, Sabonjida, Hausa Zongo, Kpalsi, Changli, Kakpagyilli, Lamashegu, Saka Saka, Dagban Dabi Fong, Bayanwaya.
Football and Community Spirit Take the Field
The 16-Community Football Gala goes beyond just beautiful goals. It highlights the BAC Group’s commitment to fostering community spirit and identifying and nurturing local talent.
As these 16 communities battle it out on the pitch, the energy will undoubtedly captivate Tamale, setting the stage for a summer to remember.
The Road to the Finals
The 16 participating communities have been divided into four groups with four teams in each group. The top two teams from each group will progress through the quarterfinals and semifinals, with the final serving as the curtain-raiser for the main All Star game at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in June.
Mark your calendars! The community gala matches kick off on May 4th, promising six weeks of thrilling football action and a celebration of community spirit.
Showcasing Talent and Rewarding Excellence
The Football Gala isn’t just about winning. It’s a platform for aspiring footballers to showcase their skills. Outstanding performances will be recognized through awards like Man of the Match, Top Goal Scorer, Best Player of the Tournament, and a Best XI selection.
Most importantly, three standout players will be presented with a remarkable opportunity: the chance to join the local select team and compete against international stars during the All Star game.
The All-Star Festival’s Community Gala is more than just a football tournament. It’s a celebration of football, culture, and the spirit of Tamale.
