The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Ghanaian referee Daniel Nii Ayi Laryea to take charge of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations semifinal match. The fixture will see the host nation, Morocco, face off against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The match is scheduled for Wednesday, 14 January 2026, at the Prince Moulay Abdallah Stadium in Morocco. The kick-off time is set for 20:00 GMT.

Referee Laryea will be supported by a full team of match officials from across the continent. The assistant referee duties will be handled by Zakhele Thusi Granville Siwela (South Africa) and Souru Phatsoane (Lesotho), with Arsenio Chadreque Maringule (Mozambique) serving as the fourth official.

The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system will be in operation for this crucial knockout match. The VAR role has been assigned to Samuel Uwikunda (Rwanda), with assistance from Abongile Tom (South Africa) and Haythem Guirat (Tunisia).

Further oversight will be provided by referee assessor Stephen Onyango Viembe (Kenya) and match commissioner Lidya Tafesse Abebe (Ethiopia).
