Simba Sports Club has taken a firm stance with striker Jonathan Sowah, giving the player a three-day deadline to respond to a series of disciplinary issues.

The Tanzanian giants are seeking explanations for several incidents that have occurred in recent weeks.

According to sources close to the club, Sowah has been absent from team activities and has been suspended.

The club’s management has outlined specific concerns that need to be addressed. These include repeated lateness to team meetings and training sessions.

Sowah has also reportedly refused to take part in extra top-up training sessions designed to improve player fitness.

Another point of contention involves the player’s choice of clothing during an official trip. It is understood that Sowah traveled to Angola wearing a jersey from Portuguese club SL Benfica instead of the official Simba SC team apparel.

On the pitch, the club has taken issue with his conduct during matches. Management claims that Sowah committed deliberate fouls that put the team at risk. Specific incidents include challenges during games against Azam FC and Espérance Sportive de Tunis that could have easily resulted in red cards.

Simba SC has now formally asked Sowah to provide his side of the story regarding these matters. The player has been given a window of three days to respond.

Failure to do so could lead to further disciplinary action from the club.
