Dreams FC secured their passage to the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup after a penalty shootout victory over Kpando Heart of Lions.
The thrilling encounter at the Kasoa Tuba Astro Turf Park ended 1-1 after regulation time, with the “Still Believe” lads holding their nerve to win the ensuing spot-kick decider 4-3.

In a fiercely contested quarter-final clash, it was Heart of Lions who drew first blood. Seedorf Asante produced a clinical finish in the 34th minute to give his side a deserved lead. The Kpando-based outfit looked poised to cause an upset, but Dreams FC refused to relent. Their persistence finally paid off in the final minutes as Suraj Seidu rose to the occasion, netting a crucial equalizer deep into stoppage time (90+2′) to send the match straight to penalties.
The shootout was a tense affair, with Dreams FC ultimately holding their nerve to triumph 4-3. Despite the heartbreak of elimination, Heart of Lions’ centre-back, Ebenezer Abban, was adjudged the Man of the Match.

The Central Defender delivered a commanding performance, showcasing timely tackles and resolute leadership to marshal his side’s defense throughout the match.
Dreams FC’s journey to the last four has been marked by consistent form. Having faced only lower-division opposition en route to the quarter-finals, they have navigated the knockout stages with professionalism. Their campaign began with a 2-1 victory over Semper FC in the Round of 64, followed by a 2-0 shutout of Asanska FC in the Round of 32.
They then secured their place among the final eight with a convincing 4-2 win over Inter Allies in the Round of 16.
With a semi-final spot secured, Dreams FC now face a formidable test. They are set to battle Medeama SC for a coveted place in the final.

The club will draw inspiration from history as they chase another shot at FA Cup glory. Dreams FC famously made history during the 2022/23 season, lifting the FA Cup trophy for the first time after a 2-0 victory over King Faisal.
That triumph earned them the right to represent Ghana in the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup, and the team is now eager to replicate that success.
