The board and management of Asante Kotoko SC have officially responded to growing growing among the club’s supporters regarding the absence of a substantive head coach and a string of disappointing performances in recent fixtures.
In a statement signed by Sarfo Duku, Esq., the club’s Communications Director, the leadership acknowledged the frustrations of the faithful, affirming that they fully understand the weight of expectation that comes with managing the affairs of one of Ghana’s most storied football institutions.
“The board and management of Asante Kotoko SC acknowledge the concerns raised by our supporters regarding the absence of a substantive head coach and the team’s recent poor results. We fully understand the expectations that come with representing this great club,” the statement read.
The board disclosed that active efforts are underway to appoint a competent substantive head coach whose football philosophy aligns with the club’s long-term ambitions. While appealing for patience, the leadership assured supporters that no rush would compromise the thoroughness of the recruitment process.

Expressing sincere regret over the team’s recent form, the management offered an unreserved apology to the fan base and pledged that decisive corrective measures were being taken to return the club to its rightful standards.
“We continue to sincerely apologise for the disappointing performances in recent matches. We want to assure our cherished supporters that decisive steps are being taken to restore the club to its rightful standards,” the club noted.
