Mamelodi Sundowns Reach CAF Champions League Final After Esperance Win
Mamelodi Sundowns have booked their place in the final of the CAF Champions League after defeating Espérance de Tunis 2-0 on aggregate in the semi-finals.
The South African side secured a 1-0 victory in the second leg at home, adding to their first-leg win by the same scoreline in Tunis.
Brayan León scored the crucial goal in the 35th minute, finishing from a rebound after his penalty was initially saved by Bechir Ben Said.
The Colombian striker had also netted the only goal in the first leg, proving crucial across both matches.
Final Appearances in Consecutive Seasons

The Brazilians have now reached the Champions League final in consecutive seasons after finishing runners-up last year to Pyramids FC.
This will be their fourth final appearance, having previously featured in 2001, 2016, and 2025.
Their only title came in 2016 when they defeated Zamalek SC, ending a long wait for a South African club since Orlando Pirates’ triumph in 1995.
They will face the winner of the semi-final between Moroccan clubs RSB Berkane and AS FAR Rabat, with AS FAR holding a 2-0 first-leg advantage.
