Medeama Celebrate Title Triumph with Trophy Presentation to AngloGold Ashanti
Medeama SC have officially presented their Ghana Premier League trophy to headline sponsors AngloGold Ashanti following the club’s title-winning campaign.
The Tarkwa-based side secured their second-ever league crown after defeating Basake Holy Stars in their coronation match at the Tarkwa TnA Stadium on Thursday.
The Yellow and Mauves finished the season on 62 points, two ahead of Bibiani GoldStars.
Club officials and players used the occasion to acknowledge the contribution of AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem Mine, whose $200,000 sponsorship deal signed earlier this year provided a major boost to the team’s successful campaign.
The partnership, announced in January 2026, was aimed at supporting football development and strengthening Medeama’s competitiveness both locally and in Africa.
With the domestic title secured, Medeama are now shifting focus to the CAF Champions League, where club president Moses Parker has confidently stated that the club’s target is to reach the group stage of the competition next season.
