AC Milan Part Ways With Allegri and Three Senior Officials After Champions League Failure

Major changes have swept through AC Milan following the club’s failure to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

The Italian giants have parted ways with head coach Massimiliano Allegri alongside CEO Giorgio Furlani, sporting Director Igli Tare, and Head of Scouting Geoffrey Moncada.

The decision comes in the aftermath of Milan’s disappointing 2-1 home defeat to Cagliari on the final day of the Serie A season, a result that proved costly in the race for a top-four finish.

The Rossoneri eventually dropped to fifth place after being overtaken by Como, who secured qualification for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.

Despite earning a place in next season’s UEFA Europa League alongside Juventus, Milan’s hierarchy viewed the campaign as a major disappointment given the club’s ambitions and stature in European football.

The seven-time European champions will now miss out on Champions League football for a second consecutive season after also failing to qualify for the 2025-26 campaign.

The sweeping departures signal the beginning of what is expected to be a major rebuild at San Siro as Milan aim to return to the summit of Italian and European football.
