The Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has formally acknowledged a disciplinary decision concerning its President, issued by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

In an official communiqué released today, FECAFOOT stated it has taken note of Decision rendered on January 14, 2026, by the CAF Disciplinary Jury. This decision is part of a disciplinary procedure against the Federation’s President related to alleged incidents during the Morocco-Cameroon match.

The Federation has raised serious concerns regarding the ruling, which imposes a four-match suspension and a fine of twenty thousand (20,000) US dollars. FECAFOOT notes that the decision lacks clear and explicit justification for the sanctions.

Furthermore, the Federation expressed reservations about the expedited process that led to this decision, suggesting it may not have fully met the fundamental requirements of a fair disciplinary hearing.

FECAFOOT confirms it is aware of its President’s intention to appeal the decision. He will exercise his right to use all available legal appeals within the required timeframes and according to the applicable regulations.

The statement concludes with a firm reaffirmation of the Federation’s unwavering support for its President and its commitment to the principles of credible and fair disciplinary justice
