The World Amputee Football Federation (WAFF) has officially confirmed the twenty four national teams that will compete in the 2026 Amputee Football World Cup. Set against the backdrop of Costa Rica’s renowned natural beauty, this event in adaptive sports is to be the most expansive and competitive edition in its history.

The tournament will feature a truly global representation, with qualified countries coming from every continent.

Qualified Nations by Continent:

Africa (7 Nations):

Qualified teams include Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Ghana, Liberia, Morocco, and Nigeria.

Asia (4 Nations):

Asia will be represented by Iran, Iraq, Japan, and Uzbekistan.

Europe (7 Nations):

Europe will field teams from England, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain, and Turkey.

North and Central America (3 Nations):

The host region will feature Costa Rica as the host nation,alongside Mexico and the United States

South America (3 Nations):

South America will be represented by Brazil, Colombia, and Uruguay. Brazil enters the tournament as one of the sport’s most accomplished and watch country.

The 2026 Amputee Football World Cup represents more than a championship; it is a global celebration of resilience, teamwork, and sporting excellence.
