Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has issued a formal disclaimer rejecting media and social media reports claiming the club has placed a transfer valuation on goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, following his standout performances for Ghana’s Black Stars at the FIFA World Cup.
In a statement dated 15 July 2026 and signed by Club Management, Hearts of Oak described the circulating reports as “false and without factual basis,” stressing that no individual or media outlet has been authorised to communicate a transfer fee or asking price on the club’s behalf.
The Club wishes to state, unequivocally, that these reports are false and without factual basis.”
The club acknowledged that, as a professionally run football institution, it remains open to receiving and considering offers that serve the best interests of both the player and the club.
However, it maintained that no official valuation has been communicated at this time, and that any figures currently in circulation are speculative.
Hearts of Oak has called on the media, its supporters, stakeholders, and the general public to disregard unverified reports concerning Asare’s transfer value, urging media organisations to confirm information through official club channels before publication.
The statement closed on a note on praising and congratulating Asare on his performances on the international stage and reaffirming its commitment to his continued development, while safeguarding the integrity of its operations.
