Hohoe United Part Ways with Head Coach Tijani Abdul

Hohoe United have departed ways with head coach Tijani Abdul Rahim Bashiru following a run of mixed results in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.

The decision, which was reached by mutual agreement, comes after the club’s goalless draw against Kpando Heart of Lions on Friday.

Bashiru departs after overseeing 17 league matches, recording four wins, six draws, and seven defeats. Under his guidance, Hohoe United scored 13 goals and conceded 17, accumulating 18 points to sit 15th on the Premier League table.

Assistant coach Alhassan Shaibu Osei has also left the club as part of the reshuffle.

Despite moments of promise, consistency proved elusive for the Volta-based side, prompting management to make a change as the season progresses.

The club will be hoping the decision injects fresh momentum into their campaign as they battle to move away from the lower end of the standings.

Hohoe United are expected to announce interim arrangements and further updates regarding the technical team in the coming days.
