Naeem Mohammed Rescues Point for Asan

Ghanaian forward Naeem Mohammed delivered a crucial late impact to help Chungnam Asan secure a 2-2 draw against Jeonnam in the South Korean second division.

The home side looked set to leave empty-handed before Naeem’s timely intervention midway through the second half shifted the momentum.

Introduced in the 65th minute with his side trailing, the Ghanaian wasted little time in making his presence felt.

Just 12 minutes after stepping onto the pitch, Naeem found the back of the net with a composed finish, restoring parity and capping off a spirited comeback from Asan.

Jeonnam had earlier taken control of the game through Brazilian duo Ronan and Valdivia, who struck on either side of an equalizer from Denisson Silva. Their goals appeared enough to seal victory before Asan mounted a late response.

Naeem’s goal not only salvaged a point but also underlined his growing importance to the team since his arrival.

The strike marked his second goal and third direct involvement in just four appearances, a sharp return that signals a player settling quickly into his new environment.

The result leaves Asan in eighth position on the league table with 11 points after 7 games, as they continue to push for consistency and to secure promotion to the K League.
