Tanko Warns of Tough Test as League Leaders Brace for Bechem United Battle
Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has acknowledged the stiff challenge his side faces as they prepare to host Bechem United in a crucial Ghana Premier League matchday 11 fixture at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa.
Speaking head of the game during his pre-match press briefing, the Medeama SC gaffer could not hide the test that await.
“It’s not going to be easy against Bechem United but we play to win,” Tanko stated, setting the tone for what promises to be a fiercely contested encounter.
The Yellow and Mauves sit comfortably at the summit of the league table with 21 points and will be looking to stretch their lead on Saturday.
Bechem United, however, arrive with renewed energy under a new coach, appointed few weeks ago. Despite winning only twice this season and hovering a point above the relegation zone, the Hunters are showing signs of resurgence.
Tanko is fully aware of the potential threat.
“Bechem is a good side, they have a new coach now and the players are motivated, but playing at home with our confidence and our supporters behind us, I hope we’ll take the three points,” he added.
