In an exclusive interview on the African Cycling Network Satellite, three of Ghana’s finest cyclists — Prince Kudufia, Victor Cudjoe, and Emmanuel Sessi — expressed their excitement and readiness ahead of the much-anticipated Tour du Ghana. The riders revealed that their joy has been further heightened by the news that His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, will grace the event and officially flag off the race. According to them, the President’s presence serves as a great motivation and a sign of national recognition for the growing cycling sport in Ghana.
Reflecting on their recent participation in the Tour du Faso, the cyclists said the experience they gained in Burkina Faso has equipped them with the endurance and strategy needed to secure victory on home soil. They emphasized that the upcoming Tour du Ghana will not only be a display of their personal and team strength but also a moment of pride for the nation. The trio thanked all sponsors and partners who have come on board to support the event, assuring them of a performance worthy of their investment and trust.

Prince, one of the standout riders, called for greater media attention, promising to thrill spectators with his incredible cycling skills, just as he did during the Tour du Faso. The cyclists further noted that beyond competition, the Tour du Ghana carries a broader goal — to promote tourism, unite communities, and contribute to Ghana’s economic growth. “This is not just a race,” they said, “it’s a platform to showcase Ghana’s talent, culture, and resilience to the world.”
