Xabi Alonso Named as New Chelsea Manager

Chelsea FC have announced the appointment of Xabi Alonso as the club’s new manager.

The Spaniard has signed a four-year contract with the Blues, a deal that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2030.

The English club confirmed the appointment in an official statement published on their website, expressing excitement over securing one of Europe’s most admired young managers.

The statement further revealed that Alonso will officially assume his duties at the beginning of July as preparations intensify for the new campaign.

At Bayer Leverkusen, Alonso guided the club to the first Bundesliga title in their history during the remarkable 2023/24 season. Under his leadership, the German side completed the entire domestic league campaign unbeaten, a historic achievement that further elevated his reputation among Europe’s elite coaches.
