The Association stated unequivocally that it had neither been consulted on the programme nor granted any form of approval or authorisation for it to proceed.
HAG called on all regional associations, affiliated clubs, teams, coaches, players and officials to refrain from participating in or associating themselves with the programme.
The governing body used the notice to remind stakeholders of existing protocol, stressing that any handball-related programme or activity involving affiliated members must first receive the requisite approval and authorisation from HAG before it is organised or promoted.
Handball Association of Ghana said the position was necessary to safeguard the proper administration, coordination and development of the sport nationwide, and to ensure that all technical and developmental programmes align with the national handball development structure.
Handball Association Ghana President Edward Patrick Nii Lante Bannerman reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to safeguarding the integrity of handball in Ghana and appealed for the continued cooperation of all stakeholders.
