In a notice dated 27th August 2026 addressed to Member Regional Associations (MRAs), GTF Secretary General Kankpenuba Peter Nuntaa Wisdom confirmed the appointments on behalf of the Executive Board, describing them as part of a broader commitment to building stronger technical, operational, and administrative structures within the federation.
Heading the newly constituted Technical Committee is Mr. Simon Gluikpor, who takes up the role of Technical Director and Chairman. He will be joined by four committee members drawn from across the federation’s technical ranks.

According to the federation, the committee has been tasked with supporting technical development, athlete development, coaching, competitions, and technical standards, and will work closely with Regional Associations and clubs in delivering these programmes nationwide.
Alongside the Technical Committee, the GTF has appointed Mr. David Addotey as Operations Manager. In his new role, Addotey will oversee the federation’s logistics operations, including equipment custody and management, inventory and asset control, event logistics, equipment distribution and retrieval, storage and maintenance, and other operational assignments as directed by the federation.
Call for Cooperation
The federation has called on all Regional Associations, clubs, coaches, and relevant officials to cooperate fully with the newly appointed officers and to extend the necessary support as they take up their respective responsibilities.
The GTF Executive Board congratulated the appointees and wished them a successful tenure of service, reaffirming its intention to build out the federation’s structures ahead of continued competitive and developmental activity across the country’s Taekwondo regions.
The Ghana Taekwondo Federation is affiliated to the African Taekwondo Union, the Commonwealth Taekwondo Union, World Taekwondo, and the Ghana Olympic Committee.
