Accra Hearts of Oak SC has confirmed a temporary venue arrangement with the University of Ghana Stadium, which will host the club’s Matchday 1 and Matchday 3 fixtures as the new season gets underway.

The switch has become necessary following the unavailability of the Accra Sports Stadium, where preparations are currently underway on the pitch ahead of the Black Stars’ AFCON 2027 qualifier against The Gambia, scheduled for September.

With the national team’s qualifying campaign taking precedence, the Accra Sports Stadium’s playing surface requires dedicated preparation time to meet the standards expected for a competitive international fixture.

Hearts of Oak’s management say the arrangement with the University of Ghana Stadium ensures the club’s own matchday schedule proceeds without disruption.

The club has thanked its fanbase for their patience during the transition and is expected to issue further guidance on ticketing and matchday logistics for both fixtures at the University of Ghana Stadium in the coming days.

Normal fixtures at the Accra Sports Stadium are anticipated to resume once the pitch has been restored following the Black Stars’ qualifier against The Gambia.
