Ghana being drawn in Group L to face England with England being viewed as the favorite to make it out of the group stages to the next level of the tournament . The three lions are tipped  as one of the countries to lift up the trophy.

This team has key players that Ghana could face in their second match in the group.  Here are a list of the top five players Black Stars could be facing.

HARRY KANE

Kane remains Englands main striker and goal threat. Many analysis list him as “ first” name on the team sheet for 2026. His hold-up play, aerial menace and finishing makes him especially dangerous against defenses that may struggle with physical center – forward.

JUDE BELLINGHAM

Bellingham is arguably England’s midfield superstar- creative, dynamic, good at both attack and defense. For Ghana he could be a real danger: he’s capable driving runs from midfield making key passes or arriving late in the box to score.

BUKAYO SAKA

Saka’s speed , skill on the wing and goal or assists threat makes him one of England’s most dangerous attackers. On an England VRs Ghana match day, Saka could exploit wide spaces and test Ghana’s full back or wing – back defense.

DECLAN RICE

As a defensive midfielder, Rice helps control the tempo , break up opposition attacks and shield the back line. For Ghana , containing Rice will be vital – letting him roam freely could give England midfield control and release attackers like Bellingham or Saka.

JORDAN PICKFORD

A world class goalkeeper, Pickford is seen by many as England’s number one and likely starting keeper for 2026.Ghana’s attackers will need clinical finishing and movement off the ball- Pickford’s shot – stopping and command of box will make scoring against England tough.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR GHANA

To compete, Ghana will likely need tactical discipline, fast and fluid counterattacks and perhaps surprise strategies – press high exploit spaces on the flanks or aim to isolate England’s full back .
