Dignity DTRT (Do The Right Thing) has once again reaffirmed its status as a leading advocate for women’s football in Ghana, hosting the Black Queens at its headquarters in Accra following the team’s recent WAFCON qualifier against Egypt.
The event went beyond a simple gesture of appreciation, it was a celebration of partnership, empowerment, and the growing recognition of women’s football in the country.
Over the past two years, Dignity DTRT has built a meaningful relationship with the national women’s team, backing them through both triumphs and challenges.
Salma Salifu, Managing Director of Dignity DTRT, praised the team’s determination and reiterated the company’s unwavering commitment to women’s sports.
“We are thrilled to continue our support for the Black Queens,” she said. “Their passion and perseverance inspire us all, and we are proud to walk with them on this journey.”
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) was also represented at the event by Deputy General Secretary, Ama Brobey Williams, Director of Marketing, Jamil Maraby, Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence Director, Winifred Mawudeku, and Security Manager, Felix Bewu, highlghting the importance of public-private collaboration in supporting women’s football.
Speaking on behalf of the GFA delegation, Winifred Mawudeku expressed gratitude for Dignity DTRT’s continuous investment in the women’s game, noting that such partnerships are essential to the growth of female football in Ghana.
“Dignity DTRT’s support has been transformative,” she said. “It goes beyond sponsorship — it’s empowerment, it’s belief, and it’s partnership.”
The Black Queens, in turn, expressed appreciation for the company’s unwavering support, describing it as a source of motivation and stability. For many players, the partnership has become a symbol of how corporate Ghana can positively shape the women’s game.
Beyond football, Dignity DTRT’s initiatives have focused on empowering women through skills development, mentorship, and visibility, aligning sports with broader social change.
As the Black Queens continue their campaign to return to the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Dignity DTRT’s continued support serves as a reminder that the advancement of women’s football in Ghana is not just a sporting project but a social movement — one built on shared values, purpose, and pride.
