Accra Hearts of Oak have completed the signing of forward John Antwi from Dreams FC, bringing the experienced striker back to the club he once represented earlier in his career.

Antwi has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, becoming the latest addition to a Hearts of Oak squad being rebuilt ahead of the new Ghana Premier League campaign.

The move marks a homecoming for Antwi, who departed Dreams FC after establishing himself as one of the league’s most consistent forwards.

His return to the Phobians has been warmly received by the club, who described it simply as a Phobian coming back home.

Antwi joins Hearts of Oak with a wealth of experience gathered across a long career in football, and he is expected to add composure and a proven scoring instinct to a Hearts attack that will be looking to mount a stronger title challenge in the coming season.

In a second significant move, Hearts of Oak have also completed the signing of Ivorian attacker Kader Kourouma Mamadou, who has agreed a three-year contract with the club. The deal brings to a close a transfer saga that began earlier in the year, when Kader travelled to Ghana in January and trained with the Phobians.

That initial move could not be completed at the time, with Hearts of Oak operating under a transfer ban that prevented the club from registering new players.

With the restriction now lifted, the club has been able to finalise the agreement and secure the Ivorian’s signature.

Kader’s arrival adds further depth and an international dimension to the Hearts of Oak forward line, and his prior familiarity with the club, dating back to his January training stint, is expected to ease his integration into the squad.

The two signings form part of a broader recruitment push by Hearts of Oak as they prepare for the 2026/27 season, with the club continuing to reinforce its squad following the resolution of its transfer restrictions.

Both Antwi and Kader are expected to be integrated into pre-season training as the Phobians build towards the new campaign.
