In the eyes of the Black Satellites coach, Desmond Offei, a final should be more than just a battle for victory; it should be a party—a joyous occasion where athletes showcase their skills, and fans unite in support.
He echoed this sentiment at the pre-match press briefing ahead of the men’s football final at the ongoing 13th African Games, Accra 2023.
“A final should be a festival, a final should be a Party and we’ll bring the party to the pitch and hopefully the fans will join us. We love them so much” – Desmond Offei.
Desmond Offei has guided the Black Satellites to the final and will take on Uganda under the floodlights at the Accra Sports Stadium today at 8pm.
The Black Satellites will seek to increase Ghana’s gold medal haul at the 13th African Games which concludes on Saturday, 23rd March.
This could potentially be Ghana’s second gold medal in football after the Black Princesses beat Nigeria to win gold in women’s football event at this year’s African Games.
