Napoli secured the Italian Super Cup with a convincing 2-0 victory over Bologna in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Brazilian winger David Neres was the star of the match, scoring both goals. The 28-year-old gave Napoli the lead with an excellent curling shot in the first half. He then scored his second after the break, capitalizing on a Bologna mistake while they attempted to play the ball out from defense.

This victory marks Napoli’s third Super Cup title. Neres finished the tournament with three goals, having also scored in the semi final win against previous holders AC Milan.

The Italian Super Cup traditionally features the winners of Serie A and the Italian Cup. Since 2023, the competition was expanded to a four-team format, also including the runners up from both tournaments. This format is scheduled to remain in place, with the Super Cup contracted to be held in Saudi Arabia until 2029.

With this win, Napoli manager Antonio Conte has now won the Super Cup six times in total, achieving the feat three times as a player and three times as a manager, further solidifying his esteemed career in Italian football.
