The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC)/Commonwealth Sports Ghana has secured a key partnership ahead of the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. The committee has joined forces with TW Radio 88.9 FM, a sports and entertainment station based in Cape Coast, in a move set to strengthen the national campaign.

The partnership was officially announced at a ceremony held in Accra. Officials described the alliance as more than just financial support. They stated it represents a shared vision and a strong commitment to preparing Ghanaian athletes for success at the highest level of international competition.

The collaboration with TW Radio 88.9 FM is expected to play a crucial role in promoting the Games, engaging the Ghanaian public, and rallying support for the national team as they prepare for the event in Scotland.

Senior members of the GOC were present to mark the occasion. Those in attendance included Ernest Danso (3rd Vice President and Team Chef de Mission), Rafatu Inusah, Edward Patrick Nii Lante Bannerman, and Delphina Quaye, all Board Members. Charles Osei Asibey, Director of Communications for the GOC/Commonwealth Sports Ghana, was also present.

This partnership provides a timely and welcome boost to Ghana’s preparations for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, signaling a unified effort to support the nation’s athletes on the world stage.
