The official supporters federation of Racing Club de Strasbourg has issued a strong statement, calling the club’s confirmed move for English coach Liam Rosenior “another humiliating step” in its relationship with Chelsea FC.
The statement reflects growing anger among a section of the fanbase. For over two years, the Federation of Racing Club de Strasbourg Supporters (FSRCS) has warned against the influence of Chelsea’s owners, BlueCo, who purchased a majority stake in the French club in 2023.
The federation insists the issue is not about Rosenior himself, described as a “young coach” with his own ambitions, nor solely about the mid-season sporting disruption. Instead, they label it a “structural” problem, arguing that “the future of French club football is at stake” when one owner controls multiple clubs.

The statement takes direct aim at Strasbourg president Marc Keller, who has remained in his role since the takeover. It claims that “every additional contortion” by Keller and “every extra minute” he spends leading the club is “an insult to the tremendous work accomplished before 2023.”
The language escalates further, referencing a past call for Keller’s departure that was once seen as “outrageous” but now, in the eyes of the federation, looks like “sound advice.” The message is clear: “He must leave. Now.”

Looking ahead, the FSRCS vows to coordinate with the three other main supporter groups who are “actively fighting against multiple ownership.” Their goal is to unite with “all people of goodwill” to plan their next steps in opposing the current direction of the club.
This public declaration signals a deepening rift between the club’s hierarchy and a core part of its traditional support, setting the stage for further tension as Strasbourg moves forward under its current ownership structure.
