FC Samartex 1996 has announced the temporary suspension of Assistant Coach and Youth Team Coach, Eric Bekoe, for misconduct.
According to an official notice from the club’s management, Bekoe has been suspended due to “insubordination and breach of the ethics” guiding the technical team. He has been referred to the club’s disciplinary committee for a hearing, with a promise to update the public on the outcome.
The former Ghana Black Stars striker was appointed by the club in October 2025 as the head coach of the youth team and as the strikers’ coach for the men’s senior team. His hiring was a key part of the club’s long-term strategy to develop young talent and enhance the attacking strength of the senior side.
Bekoe’s future at the club is now uncertain as he awaits the decision from the disciplinary process.
