In line with the Club’s statutes, FC Barcelona President Joan Laporta has resigned from his position. This step allows him to be a candidate in the upcoming elections for the Board of Directors, which will be held on March 15.
The resignation was made official at the regular Board of Directors meeting this Monday. The meeting also saw the official announcement of the election call.
Alongside President Laporta, several other current board members have also resigned to take part in the election process. These are:
Elena Fort, Vice President of the Institutional Area
Antonio Escudero, Vice President of the Social Area
Managers: Ferran Olivé, Josep Maria Albert, Javier Barbany, Miquel Camps, Aureli Mas, Javier Puig, and Joan Soler and Ferré.

Following these resignations, the Board of Directors will continue its work until the end of its term on June 30, but with a new make-up.
Until that date, the Board will operate with the following members:
President: Rafael Yuste
Vice President and Secretary: Josep Cubells
Treasurer: Alfons Castro
Managers: Josep Ignasi Macià, Àngel Riudalbas, Joan Solé i Sust, and Sisco Pujol.
After these changes were confirmed, the newly formed Board continued with the meeting’s planned agenda.
With the election campaign now beginning and duties temporarily reassigned, the Club enters a key period. The coming weeks will be crucial for management, stability, and the future direction of FC Barcelona.
