The headline act saw Ghana’s Theophilus Nii Kpakpo Allotey, known popularly as ‘Lopez,’ add the WBA Africa Super Flyweight title to an already impressive collection of belts, which includes the WBO Global, WBO Africa, National, and UBO Africa crowns.

Allotey Stops Erastus in Seventh

Abdula Wins WBA Africa Cruiserweight Title

In another major title bout, the tall and polished Ahmed Abdula, a product of the Fit Square Gym, claimed the WBA Africa Cruiserweight title with a unanimous victory over Nigeria’s Obaro Eradajaye. In a surprising gesture, the Nigerian fighter entered the ring wearing shorts embedded with the colours of the Ghana flag.

The two warriors refused to take a backward step, trading heavy punches. Ultimately, Abdula’s superior skill and composure won him the war on points, improving his record to 10-0 (7 KOs). As he promised before the fight, Eradajaye saw his own blood flow but showed tremendous heart until the final bell.

The fastest knockout of the night came from Jursly ‘The Gorilla’ Vargas of the Netherlands, who knocked out ‘Zongo Fire’ Dowuona in just 1 minute and 58 seconds of the first round.

Pure grit and power were on display when Belgium-based Guinean Ibrahima Diallo defeated Ghana’s Godson Amuzu in a proper pound-for-pound war in the fourth bout.
