Joseph Paintsil in celebratory mood after scoring for LA Galaxy

Joseph Paintsil uPaintsil off the mark in Galaxy comeback draw

Ghanaian forward Joseph Paintsil delivered a sharp, decisive performance as LA Galaxy fought back from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw against FC Dallas in the Major League Soccer.

Dallas took control early on, with Petar Musa netting twice to hand Dallas a comfortable lead. But the momentum shifted late in the first half, sparked by Paintsil’s influence.

The Ghanaian first turned provider, setting up Lucas Sanabria to pull one back, before getting on the scoresheet himself moments later with a well-taken finish to level the contest before the break.

It marked Paintsil’s first goal and second goal-involvement of the season, having spent a significant spell on the sidelines due to injury.

His return to form offers a timely boost for Galaxy as they look to climb the table.

The result leaves LA Galaxy in 11th place in the Western Conference standings, with plenty of work still ahead to push into playoff contention.
