Obroni Riders Team Touches Down in Ghana for Tour Du Ghana
The Austria and Germany Cycling Team Schwingshandl, has officially arrived in Ghana. Now competing under the new banner of Obroni Riders Team, the riders are poised and ready to take on the challenging routes of the Tour Du Ghana.
The team expressed excitement about experiencing Ghana’s vibrant culture and competitive racing landscape. Their participation underscores the growing global appeal of African cycling events.
The tour du Ghana will officially be flagged on Sunday 16th November 2025 by H.E John Dramani Mahama in Accra.
Before the flagging of the cycling event, the Ghana Cycling Federation will hold a press conference at the Media Center of the Accra Sports Stadium to officially launch the 10th Edition of the Tour du Ghana. About 108 cyclists are expected to compete in this year’s edition.
Other International Cyclists from Ivory Coast, Belgium, Burkina Faso, Netherlands etc are expected to arrive within the week.
There will be a prolong cycling Event on Saturday within Accra to Ussher in the main event on Saturday.
The Cyclists will be competing in eight stages with prizes to be awarded to cyclists who wins a stage.
The Cyclists will riding through three regions, Accra, Volta and Oti Region.
