The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) has extended its profound congratulations to Mr. Sampson Deen on his re-election as President of the African Paralympic Committee (APC).
The landslide victory, which saw him amass a staggering 38 out of 40 votes, took place at the 2025 African Paralympic General Assembly in Accra.
The GOC in it’s press release described the outcome as an unprecedented vote of confidence from the entire African para sports community.

This landslide re-election serves as a powerful endorsement of Mr. Deen’s visionary leadership and the development agenda he has championed.
His first term was marked by significant achievement, most notably the successful hosting of the maiden of African Para Games in Ghana, which elevated the level of para sports in Ghana and across the African Continent.
The renewed mandate is a source of national pride, cementing Ghana’s influential voice and leadership role in international sports administration.
The GOC also looks forward to strengthening its partnership with the Paralympic movement in Ghana under Mr. Deen’s stewardship. This collaboration is expected to further the cause of inclusivity and create more opportunities disability sports.
