Augustine Okrah and Ofori Antwi Receive GPL Nasco Player and Goalkeeper of the month Awards

Bechem United forward Augustine Okrah and Berekum Chelsea goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi have been honoured with the NASCO Player of the Month and NASCO Goalkeeper of the Month awards respectively for the April/May period.

Okrah claimed the top individual award after an impressive scoring run that saw him net seven goals in six league matches. His performances helped him finish ahead of fellow nominees Salim Adams of Medeama SC, Young Apostles’ Emmanuel Richmond Opoku, and Berekum Chelsea’s Seidu Abubakari.

The experienced attacker also picked up a NASCO Player of the Match award during the period, highlighting his influence in Bechem United’s campaign.

As part of his reward, Okrah will receive a 43-inch NASCO television and a NASCO double-door bottom-freezer refrigerator, courtesy of Electroland Ghana Limited.

In the goalkeeping category, Ofori Antwi emerged victorious after a string of commanding displays for Berekum Chelsea.

The veteran shot-stopper kept three clean sheets and conceded only three goals in six matches, helping his side secure five wins and move away from relegation danger.

Ofori Antwi edged out Medeama SC’s Felix Kyei and Young Apostles’ Frank Boateng to secure the award. His prize package, sponsored by the Ex-Goalkeepers Union, includes a branded towel, water bottles and a T-shirt.

The awards recognise two players whose contributions proved vital to their clubs during the closing stages of the Ghana Premier League season.
