Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo, has vowed to keep the Black Stars at the top of Group I until the end of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

On Friday night, Ghana delivered a commanding performance, securing a 5-0 victory over Chad in Round 5 of the African qualifiers. The emphatic win lifted the Black Stars to the top of Group I with 12 points, two ahead of second-placed Madagascar.

Speaking after the match, Otto Addo expressed his determination to maintain Ghana’s lead in the group standings. He emphasized that his team will go all out to defeat Madagascar in Round 6.

It’s always easier when you’re on top. We want to stay there. We will do everything possible to beat Madagascar on Monday and retain our lead, Coach Otto Addo stated.

The crucial clash between Ghana and Madagascar is set for Monday, March 24, in Morocco.
