The three-member Committee is chaired by Mr Lawrence Osei-Boateng Esq., a legal practitioner with the Ghana Free Zones Authority. He is joined by the GOC Secretary-General, Mr Mohammed Muniru Kassim Esq., with a third member, a staff representative from the National Sports Authority, Ghana, yet to be confirmed.

The inauguration was attended by several Executive Board members of the GTF, including the Federation’s President, Mr Frederick Otu, affirming the federation’s backing of the process as it heads toward a change, or renewal, of its leadership.

Shortly after being sworn in, the Committee held an initial closed-door meeting with the GTF Executive Board, signalling that vetting work for the Congress has now formally begun. With just under a month remaining before the July 18 polls, attention will turn to the nomination and vetting timelines the Committee is expected to publish in the coming days.
