England head coach Thomas Tuchel has sounded a note of caution ahead of his side’s crucial FIFA World Cup Group L encounter with Ghana, describing the Black Stars as a “traditional top football country” with immense quality and a formidable style of play.

Speaking ahead of the fixture, Tuchel acknowledged the challenge awaiting his team despite England’s impressive 4-2 victory over Croatia in their opening match.

“It is bad news for Ghana because we will be very motivated,” Tuchel said. “We are playing in one of the most difficult groups, and Ghana is a traditional top football country with outstanding players. Ghana play with a lot of physicality, quality and speed. They don’t mind if they don’t have the ball.”

The much-anticipated clash is scheduled to take place at Foxborough in the United States at 8:00 pm GMT, with both teams entering the match level on three points after winning their opening group fixtures.

England currently hold a slight advantage following their high-scoring win over Croatia, while Ghana will be aiming to build on their own victorious start and strengthen their chances of advancing to the knockout stage.

With top spot in Group L potentially at stake, the encounter promises to be one of the most exciting fixtures of the group stage, pitting England’s attacking prowess against Ghana’s physicality, pace and tactical discipline.

By the end of the evening in Foxborough, one team could emerge as the outright leader of Group L, while the other may face added pressure heading into the final round of matches.
