Goalkeeper of the Black Stars and captain of Accra Hearts of Oak, Benjamin Asare, has paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Sports and Recreation to express his gratitude to the people of Ghana for their unwavering support and confidence in him.
Speaking during the visit, Asare acknowledged that the encouragement of Ghanaians had been a driving force behind his performances, particularly during the recently concluded FIFA World Cup. He noted that the trust placed in him by the public had spurred him to consistently give his best on the pitch.
Receiving the goalkeeper, the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, commended Ghanaians for the role they had played in Asare’s career and thanked the shot-stopper for the self-belief and dedication that paved the way for his rise to international football’s highest level.
The Minister stated that Asare’s confidence and commitment had been instrumental in earning him the opportunity to represent the nation.
Hon. Adams further praised Asare’s composure and dedication, describing his calm and composed nature on the field as central to his impressive performances and his recent call-up to the national team.
He remarked that Asare’s composure under pressure, combined with his hard work, had rightfully earned him his place among the Black Stars.
The Minister concluded by encouraging Asare to remain focused, urging him to sustain his discipline and continue his rigorous training as he progresses in his career.
