The Ghana Blind Sports Federation (GBSA) extended its heartfelt congratulations to its Secretary General, Mr. David Tweneboah Koduah, following his successful completion of the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Goalball Referees Clinic.

The clinic was held in Trakai, Lithuania, from 16th to 24th March 2026.

Mr. Koduah once again distinguished himself on the international stage by regaining his Level 2 IBSA Goalball Referee certification. This notable achievement underscores his dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to excellence in goalball officiating.

In addition to participating in the clinic, Mr. Koduah officiated at an international goalball tournament during his stay in Lithuania, where he delivered an outstanding performance.

His dual participation has been widely regarded as highly successful, further strengthening his credentials and enhancing Ghana’s reputation in international para-sports officiating.

Mr. Koduah is expected to depart Lithuania today and arrive in Ghana tomorrow night, bringing with him renewed certification and valuable international experience that is expected to contribute to the development of goalball and para-sports in the country.

In a statement issued by the President of the Ghana Blind Sports Federation, Mr. Anthony Gyening, on behalf of the National Executive Committee, the Federation expressed immense gratitude in Mr. Koduah’s accomplishment.

“On behalf of the Ghana Blind Sports Federation and the entire National Executive Committee, I warmly congratulate our Secretary General, Mr. David Tweneboah Koduah, on this remarkable international achievement. His successful completion of the IBSA Goalball Referees Clinic and the regaining of his Level 2 certification is an evidence to his resilience, competence, and dedication to the sport. We are equally proud of his excellent performance during the international tournament in Lithuania,” the statement read.

The Federation further commended Mr. Koduah for his unwavering commitment to advancing goalball in Ghana and for serving as a distinguished ambassador for the nation on the global stage.
