Intercontinental Club Masters, Accra Hearts of Oak SC have officially parted ways with Head Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani and his entire technical team following a comprehensive review of the club’s 2025/26 campaign.
The decision, announced by the club’s management and board, brings an end to Dramani’s tenure despite Hearts of Oak finishing third in the Ghana Premier League and producing one of the most remarkable defensive seasons in the competition’s history.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the club confirmed the immediate dissolution of the technical team as part of a broader evaluation of the season and the club’s future direction.
The departures include First Assistant Coach Abdulai Gazali, Second Assistant Coach and Sports Science Expert Prince Wilson, Video Analyst Peter Boafo, Goalkeepers Coach Najau Issah, Team Manager Henry Martey, Deputy Team Manager Daniel Kodie, and Physical Coach Enoch Jordan Daitey.
While the season ended without a league title, Hearts of Oak established a new benchmark in Ghana Premier League history by keeping 24 clean sheets in 34 matches, the highest ever recorded in a single league campaign.
The Phobians’ defensive excellence was further highlighted by the fact that only 10 of the league’s 18 clubs managed to score against them throughout the season. The achievement affirms the team’s tactical discipline, defensive organisation, and consistency across the campaign.
Hearts concluded the season in third place with 54 points, finishing ahead of long-time rivals Asante Kotoko SC, who ended the campaign in eighth position with 49 points.
Despite the decision to make a change, Hearts of Oak expressed appreciation for the work done by Dramani and his staff during their time at the club.
Management praised the professionalism, commitment, and discipline demonstrated by the technical team, acknowledging their role in securing a top-three finish and establishing one of the strongest defensive records ever seen in Ghana football.
With the playing squad currently on recess, Hearts of Oak have indicated that plans are already underway to determine the club’s next technical direction.
The board stated that further announcements regarding a new coaching structure will be made in due course as the club seeks to align its football philosophy with its long-term ambitions and identity.
